Recently, information from the State Intellectual Property Office shows that Fujian Haineng Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd. has obtained a patent titled "A Bearing Flange," with authorization announcement number CN224245274U, filing date May 2025.

1. Patent Technical Highlights: Significant Improvement in Oil Seal Reliability

The patent abstract indicates that the utility model discloses a bearing flange in the field of flange technology, comprising a flange cover, with a rotating shaft penetrating the center of the flange cover. A bearing is installed between the flange cover and the rotating shaft. A bearing cover is fixed to the left side of the flange cover, fitting over the left end of the rotating shaft. An oil seal is provided on the right side of the flange cover, and the inner cavity of the flange cover is filled with lubricating paste.

The core innovation of this patent is that the right side of the inner cavity of the flange cover is provided with an annular groove, and the right side wall of the flange cover is evenly provided with openings communicating with the annular groove. The oil seal includes an oil seal body, and the side wall of the oil seal body is fixed with a number of fins equal to the number of openings, and the fins can pass through the openings to form an interlocking structure. By forming axial constraints through the fin-and-opening interlocking structure, enhancing circumferential friction with anti-slip patterns, and generating radial holding force with a C-shaped skeleton, a three-dimensional restraint system is constructed, improving the oil seal's displacement resistance by over 60%.

Fujian Haineng Electromechanical Technology Co., Ltd., established in 2017 and located in Ningde City, Fujian Province, is primarily engaged in other manufacturing industries with a registered capital of RMB 10 million. According to Tianyancha big data analysis, the company has participated in 6 bidding projects and holds 27 trademarks and 39 patents.

2. Global Flange Bearing Market Continues to Expand

As a core component of various industrial equipment, the flange bearing market continues to expand. According to the latest QYResearch data, the global flanged bearing unit market was approximately 608millionin2025andisexpectedtoreach608millionin2025andisexpectedtoreach857 million by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.1% from 2026 to 2032. The global housed bearing unit market reached 1.65billionin2025andisprojectedtogrowto1.65billionin2025andisprojectedtogrowto2.51 billion by 2034, at a CAGR of 4.8%.

In the flange plain bearing segment, according to research by QYResearch, the global flange plain bearing market was approximately RMB 15.96 billion in 2024 and is expected to approach RMB 24.18 billion by 2031, with a CAGR of 6.1% over the next six years.

3. Industry Innovation: igus Launches Split Flange Bearing, Assembly Efficiency Increased by 80%

Motion plastics specialist igus unveiled its new igubal series split plastic flange bearing at the LIGNA 2025 trade fair in Hanover. The product features a unique two-piece design that reduces bearing assembly workload in industries such as wood processing by up to 80%. When a conveyor belt is stopped due to a flange bearing failure, traditional replacement requires disassembling adjacent machine components and shafts, taking hours. The split design enables assembly and disassembly in just minutes, reducing installation time by 80% and minimizing downtime losses.

igus has currently launched two split igubal flange bearings: a four-hole flange bearing (F208) and a two-hole flange bearing (FL208), as well as a compact 208 version. The hole spacing of these bearings is identical to classic one-piece F-type and FL-type housings, allowing replacement without any modification to the mounting surface.

The bearing housing is made of impact-resistant igumid G engineering plastic, capable of withstanding temperatures from -40°C to +120°C, while the spherical plain bearings are made of iglidur J3 material. Long-term tests conducted in its in-house 5,500 m² test laboratory show that these spherical plain bearings have 12 times the wear resistance of conventional metal solutions, yet cost approximately 40% less. The bearings are also corrosion-resistant and resistant to many chemicals.

Notably, the product adopts a lubrication-free design. Because solid lubricants are incorporated, the bearing requires no additional oiling, significantly reducing maintenance and labor costs and lowering the risk of failure. According to statistics, 36% of machine failures are caused by insufficient lubrication, making the lubrication-free feature a true breakthrough.

In April 2026, igus's split igubal flange bearing won the iF Design Award 2026, alongside iglidur PRT slewing ring bearings and the igusGO application, receiving high recognition from the international jury. The jury particularly noted that the split flange bearing is designed for hard-to-reach bearing positions. The split structure allows it to be mounted directly on the shaft without disassembling surrounding components. Users can switch from traditional flange bearing units to high-performance plastic alternatives without any design modifications, while also reducing weight by about 80% and lowering operating costs.

4. Company News: FK Group's Smart Plant Tops Out, Target Annual Capacity of 6 Million Units

In February 2026, FK Bearing Group's expansion project in the Xuefeng New District of Nan'an City, Fujian Province, reached a key milestone – the main structures of two smart precision bearing workshops successfully topped out. The project has a total investment of RMB 180 million, covers an area of 20 mu (approximately 13,333 m²), and has a total construction area of 45,500 m². Construction has progressed rapidly since its start in November 2025 and has now entered the decoration phase, with completion and acceptance expected in October 2026.

After commissioning, the project will add an annual production capacity of 6 million sets of high-precision bearings and robot-specific bearings, with an estimated annual output value of RMB 300 million. At that time, FK Bearing Group will introduce 80 advanced precision production lines and a full set of testing equipment, focusing on precision machining and smart manufacturing of high-end bearings, further enhancing its supporting capabilities in fields such as new energy and industrial automation.
