Maintenance Method Of Angular Contact Ball Bearing

1. When the bearing runs for a certain period (or maintenance period), remove all the bearings.

2. Soak and clean the bearing with diesel oil or kerosene for cleaning. If there is technical condition, it is better to open the sealing cover for cleaning.

3. Air-dry the oil after cleaning, and check visually for any damage.

4. Use a wooden stick (preferably a hollow tube) with a diameter of about 150mm and the same diameter as the inner diameter of the angular contact ball bearing, and fix a bearing at one end.

5. While turning the bearing quickly by hand, put the other end of the wooden stick (wooden pipe) on the ear or the audio amplifier microphone to hear the bearing rotation noise.

6. After fixing the bearing, move the wooden stick horizontally to check whether the bearing is worn or loose.

7. FAG bearings with serious loosening, excessive rotation noise and serious defects should be eliminated and replaced with the same model.

8. Take a bucket and melt an appropriate amount of grease (high-quality yellow dry oil) with a slow fire (do not overheat), and put the tested bearings into the bucket and soak them until no bubbles overflow. Take out the bearing before the grease is cooled, and the amount of residual grease is small. After the grease has cooled, the angular contact ball bearing is taken out, and there is a large amount of residual grease. Determine the amount of grease remaining as needed.

9. Wipe the grease on the outside of the bearing with a soft cloth or toilet paper. Assemble the FAG bearing to the pulley in its original state, and the maintenance work is over.
