The Production Of Deep Groove Balls

Apr 05, 2023|

Deep groove ball is a spherical bearing with a small spacing between the inner and outer rings, which can limit the radial and axial movement of the bearing. The production process of deep groove balls involves grinding, heat treatment, and assembly processes.
Production process:
1. Material selection: High quality steel, such as GCr15 steel, is required for the production of deep groove balls.
2. Heat treatment: First, heat the steel to around 800 ℃ for annealing treatment to soften it, and then perform process treatment to finally meet the hardness requirements.
3. Cooling and grinding: After heat treatment, the steel needs to be cooled and then ground to achieve the corresponding geometric dimensions and surface roughness.
4. Heat treatment: Heat and treat the ground steel again to achieve the required hardness.
5. Washing and rust prevention treatment: After cleaning, waxing, and oiling the processed parts, rust prevention treatment is carried out.
Grinding process:
1. Preparation: Prepare the necessary grinding tools, such as grinding machines, grinding wheels, etc.
2. Rough grinding: Use a grinding wheel for rough grinding to achieve the required size and shape on the surface of the workpiece.
3. Intermediate grinding: Continue to use the grinding wheel for intermediate grinding to achieve the required surface roughness and flatness.
4. Fine grinding: Use a fine grinding wheel for fine grinding to achieve the required surface finish and accuracy requirements.
Heat treatment processing:
1. Heating: Place the ground workpiece into the furnace for heating treatment.
2. Insulation: Keep the workpiece in the furnace for a certain period of time, which depends on the size of the workpiece and the required hardness.
3. Cooling: Remove the workpiece from the furnace, perform cooling treatment, and quickly cool it to room temperature.
4. Quenching: Quench the workpiece to achieve the required hardness.
Assembly process:
1. Cleaning: Clean the processed inner and outer rings to remove oil and impurities.
2. Oil application: Apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the joint between the inner and outer rings.
3. Assembly: Assemble the inner and outer rings together as required, and install the ball into the inside of the bearing.
4. Sealing: Seal the bearings to prevent leakage and water ingress.
The production process of deep groove balls requires highly precise processing, heat treatment, and assembly techniques to ensure their reliable quality. The accuracy, accuracy, and standardization of these process steps directly affect the performance of bearings, and play an extremely important role in ensuring high performance, long life, and reliability of bearings.
