On March 20, Schaeffler Group unveiled its new generation hybrid ceramic bearing product line at its headquarters in Schweinfurt, Germany, specifically targeting high-speed motor applications in new energy vehicles. The new products combine silicon nitride ceramic rolling elements with high-performance steel rings, enabling lower friction and longer life at higher speeds.

Stefan Spindler, CEO of Schaeffler's Industrial Division, stated at the launch: "As electric drive systems for new energy vehicles move toward higher voltage and higher speed, traditional steel bearings face severe challenges under electrical corrosion and high-temperature conditions. The new generation hybrid ceramic bearings will help customers overcome these technical bottlenecks."
